35th edition of India International Jewellery Show (IIJS)
8th to 13th August

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the apex body to promote exports of the Gems and Jewellery from India, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, is organizing the 35th edition of India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) from 8th to 13th August, 2018 at Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Mumbai. Gems and Jewellery industry is one of India's leading foreign exchange earners and one of the fastest growing sectors accounting for 15.64 % of India’s total merchandise exports during FY 2016-17. The industry has registered a remarkable growth over the last four decades, with exports from US$ 28 million in the 1966-67 when the GJEPC was established to US$ 43.20 billion in FY 2016-17.

2. In its endeavor to promote India as the “Innovation hub for Designer Jewellery’’; the Council is organizing the following focused business to business show at Mumbai that caters to the sourcing needs of the Gem & Jewellery industry. Over the years, IIJS has become popular with participations with nearly 1,200 exhibitors, 2010 booths, 65,500 sq. ft., 36,000 trade visitors from 800 Indian cities/towns and 80 countries around the world. As India’s Premier Show, IIJS is the perfect platform to offer the best of India’s expertise and craftsmanship in gold, diamond, silver and coloured stones.

3. IIJS has been a strong medium to create potential business opportunities for each one in the Trade. The trade members from all over the country and the world come to IIJS to replenish inventory for India’s busiest jewellery-buying months that follow. However, it’s more than just business at IIJS. There’s plenty to engage your mind and senses with knowledge seminars, a modern show floor, etc.

4. Due to high demand from the Machinery Companies, GJEPC has also, decided to expand the Machinery section at the Leela Hotel Mumbai also with the continuation of the Lalit Hotel Mumbai to accommodate more number of exhibitors from 10th to 13th August, 2018.

5. The Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India is assisting the Council to make these shows more successful than previous years. The organisers have decided to provide the following facilities for buyer delegation based on the selection done by the organisers. Interested buyer delegation can forward their company profiles to the organisers. Facilities on complimentary basis include:
· 2 nights/3 days Stay at a Luxurious hotel during the event
· Airport pick-up & drops
· Shuttle bus services from Hotel to Exhibition & back
· Entry Passes to networking evenings
· Interpreter facility from non-English speaking countries (applicable
for a group of min. 5 delegates)
Kindly note that due to logistical reasons, such privileged facilities can be considered only if the list of members interested to attend the show will reach to the organisers at least 60 days prior to the show dates.
