Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre (OIFC)

The Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, Government of India in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has set up an Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre (OIFC) to strengthen economic engagement with the Indian Diaspora.   As part of the new initiatives, OIFC will organize visits of Indian Diaspora business delegations either specific states(s) in India or focused on a specific sector(s) viz., solar energy, renewable energy, light engineering (manufacturing), IT - manufacturing & electronics, healthcare including manufacturing of medical devices, tourism, agri infra (eg., cold chains and warehousing), transportation, smart cities, etc.  It is in this context that OIFC is inviting Indian Diaspora Business delegations from Kuwait to India.

2.         The visits could take place during Investor Meets in States, or large sector-specific Investor Summits scheduled in India or even independent of the two.   Some of the scheduled Investor Meets are:

3.         An illustrative list of specific opportunities in select sectors, linked to Government of India flagship schemes along with an illustrative list of States that have announced these sectors as thrust sectors is attached.

4.         OIFC will draw up similar detailed matrix of the sector /state interests for the Overseas Indian business delegations and set up their meetings with State/Central Governments and Indian Businessmen. Most states have declared the priority sectors for investments. Some states like Rajasthan have come out with a list of (90) specific projects ranging from infrastructure, healthcare, education, sanitation, renewable energy etc for investment. The list of projects is attached. They are also available on the OIFC website (http://www.oifc.in/projects/existing-projects).
